In May 1998, Nu Lambda Omega Chapter established Nu Lambda Foundation, Incorporated, a non-profit corporation, created pursuant to the provisions of the Georgia Non-Profit Corporation Code (O.C.G.A. &14-3-101 et seq.).
To broaden philanthropic endeavors, in the fall of 1998 the Foundation applied for a determination letter under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, recognizing it as exempt from the Federal income tax. On March 31, 1990 the Foundation was granted approval of this request.
In September 2011, the foundation’s name was changed to the Pearls of Purpose Foundation, Incorporated. The foundation seeks to intentionally and positively impact the diverse, valuable and rare lives of people within our community.
